Paramount Resources has several properties throughout Alberta and BC.
In the Grande Prairie region, they are focused on Wapiti and Kar Montney where they produce mostly natural gas and NGLs.
Paramount Resources also works in the Kaybob area where they produce mostly NGLs and crude oil. In central Alberta, they operate and Duvernay and in BC they work in Horn River Basin.
Natural gas liquids (NGL) are separated from natural gas at a gas processing plant. They are composed mostly of ethane, propane, butane, and pentane. NGLs are used as feedstocks in the production of petrochemicals and as fuels.
