Crew Energy is mainly involved in liquids rich natural gas and light oil production from the Montney formation in BC.
It also produces heavy oil from properties located in the Lloydminster area.
Heavy oil is thicker and more viscous than other forms of oil. It is often found in deposits that are more difficult and expensive to produce than conventional oil. A couple of examples of processes used to develop heavy oil are SAGD and surface mining.
